Florida • Ft. Lauderdale / Miami

To be honest, our last visit to Ft. Laud. was in February 2005. And we were with friends. Nevertheless we contacted the local gay golf group in Ft. Laud, the "Goffers" some weeks ahead of our visit via e-mail. Chad the "headgoffer" organizes this group very well, they meet twice a week (!) for playing golf. It`s interesting because they go to different courses and get nice discounts on greenfees wherever they go. Each play is sort of a tournament. Don`t judge them by their website, the group is very warmhearted and lively. Mixed ages and golf handicap levels. It`s a group for everyone. Additionally this part of Florida offers a wide range of different golf courses at different rates. Check the "Sunsentinel", the local newspaper, for vouchers which will reduce the greenfee at several clubs. And tee-off times in the afternoon (in winter) are also offered for a reduced greenfee.

Here`s a short list of golf clubs where we liked playing:

Palm Aire (Cypress & Oaks Course)

Inverrary

Oak Tree Golf Club

Concerning gay life in Ft. Laud. let me just mention, that this spot is famous for its mature clientele and its admirers. Those who are more into a younger crowd most probably will prefer Miami... But, there`s a wide range of other material that gives you all kinds of information about this issue...

England • Bristol / London / ...

Whenever one of you intends to travel to England for a golf holiday, contact the Irons ahead of booking your trip. Most of their members are based in London, but there`s also quite a few living in different parts of England. We met about 50 of them during our participation in the "West Country Tour 2007", which took us around Weston-Super-Mare, a little beach town near Bristol. All Irons we met there were very friendly, most of them are really good golfers... Please check also our "Events/Calendar" for their future events, and their website, of course...

Thailand - Pattaya Rainbow-Resort

The Sponsors of the main tombola prize of the 4th German-Rainbow-Open 2008 – a 2weeks stay including full pension for 2 persons on their holiday resort – run a fancy bungalow complex of it‘s own kind: specially created for gays and friends to spend a holiday they ever dreamed of.

Built on the the golf resort Huay Yai south of PATTAYA, the „RAINBOW-RESORT“ is located in one of the best residential areas in this region – just a few minutes to the beach or the village.
